A Successful Harvest Service Sunday 6th October

October 10, 2024

Our Harvest Festival Service

On Sunday 6th October, at the Harvest Festival Service, Keston church was pleased to welcome children (and their families) from the Keston CE Primary School choir. They sang beautifully and joined the Keston church choir for the last hymn.

In addition, during the service, some of the children helped to collect the cash donations to Welcare in Bromley plus all the tins and non perishable food items and toiletries that were subsequently taken to the Bromley Borough Foodbank. We are looking forward to the choir joining us again, possibly for Mothering Sunday.

We had a tremendous response this year with £537 being collected for Welcare in Bromley, which is a family support charity working with families and children up to the age of 13. In addition, over 81kg (equating to a Fiesta boot and back seats/footwells full) of food and toiletries were collected for the Bromley Borough Foodbank, which will be much appreciated by its users.
