WELCOME - We would like to welcome you to our service today, especially if you are a visitor. We invite you to join us at Holy Communion to receive the bread and wine, symbols of God’s love for us.  If you do not wish to receive Holy Communion, please come up for a blessing, just keep your hands by your side as you come to the rail.  If you use a hearing aid, please put it to the “T” setting.  Please do join us for a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits in the Hall after the 10 am Sunday service.

NEW PATTERN OF WORSHIP –
1st Sunday in the month (6th Oct) an ‘All Age’ Communion service @ 10.00 am, still shorter and child friendly! 
1st Tuesday (1st Oct & 5th Nov) prayer walk @ 9.30 am outside on the green at the old Rectory. (See below for more details)
2nd Wednesday of the month (9th Oct) mid-week Communion @ 10.30 am.
3rd Monday of the month (21st Oct)  Meditation @ 7.30 pm. 
4th Tuesday of the month (22nd Oct) -  Home Group @ the Rectory 7.30 pm.

HARVEST DONATIONS - Bromley Foodbank were absolutely delighted with all the food which Caroline & David delivered  -  they weighed in at 68.5 kg    (10.78 stone!)  Also the money given for Welcare in Bromley totalled £210, (gift cards donated last year amounted to £170).  Thank you and Bless you all for your amazing generosity.
SUNDAY 3RD NOV – this is the last date for magazine material to be in by, for the Dec/Jan edition of the mag.  Please give to Sally Churchus.  Many thanks to all for their donations of elastic bands!
BEREAVEMENT SERVICE – SUNDAY 3RD NOV @ 3pm.  This service will be a short service of hymns and prayers with a chance to light a candle in memory of our loved ones and a list of their names will be read out.  If you would like someone’s name added to the list, please give to Tricia or Rev Carol.  Thank you.

3rd Monday of the month (18th Nov)  Meditation @ 7.30 pm. 
4th Tuesday of the month (26th Nov) -  This month Home Group is at Heather & John’s home – 120 Langley Way, West Wickham @ 7.30 pm.  (If you need a lift ask Rev. Carol or Tricia.)

BOOK READING FELLOWSHIP – After an August break, we will be having our next Book Reading Fellowship Group on Monday 4th November @ 2 pm at Sally Churchus home @ 103 Gravel Road, Bromley Common.  We discuss books we have read, have a good chat, then have tea and cake. Don’t worry if you have not read any books, you may be inspired to after hearing others’ experiences!   All are welcome!

PRAYER WALKS – Every 1st  Tuesday of the month, Tuesday  5th Nov & 3rd Dec. Please come along with or without a dog, and we all have a good chatter, and then stop, reflect and pray at several intervals along the way, we start at 9.30 am on Commonside near the old Rectory. We then end up at Greyhound at 11 ish where we have a ‘cuppa’, and/or one of the lovely breakfast options. Please join us for this lovely social time – you don’t have to walk first – just let Carol or Tricia know if you would like to be there for food, so we have an idea of numbers.  Thank you!

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY – 10TH NOV @ 10am – We have a short non-Communion Service at 10am, then we will gather at the Village Sign at 10.30 am to walk to the War Memorial for 10.55 am, for prayers and observance of the two minutes silence.

 THE STAFF & VOLUNTEERS OF WELCARE IN BROMLEY invite you to a Service of Thanksgiving on Tuesday 12th Nov at 11.30 am at Bromley Parish Church.  Please confirm your attendance in advance to judy.rambridge@ntlworld.com
DEANERY SYNOD AT KESTON CHURCH ON TUE 12th Nov @ 7.30 pm – where we will have tea/coffee and biscuits, then the meeting. 

QUIZ NIGHT - SATURDAY 16TH NOV @ 7 pm –  with Fish & Chip supper, tables of eight.  Tickets £12 available from Chris on 07988 712873 or Tricia.  REMEMBER to bring your drinks and glasses and your brains!

HEALING & WHOLENESS (H&W) - Every 3rd Sunday
on 17th Nov, we offer healing and wholeness prayers, [and a blessing with oil], for all who may like the benefit of a special prayer, just after Communion.

FOAL FARM ANNUAL CHRISTMAS FAYRE ON SUNDAY 17TH NOV FROM 12 noon till 4 pm – There is a box in the foyer for donations of treats or toys for the animals’ Santa Stockings.


MEDITATION GROUP – Every 3rd Monday - 18th Nov & 16th Dec. 
We begin at 7.30 pm in the Church or church hall.  All are very welcome, to take time out from our busy lives. 

MEN’S PUB SOCIAL – These happen every 3rd Wednesday of the month – and the next one is on 20th Nov & 18th Dec at the Greyhound Pub @ 7.30 pm.

THURSDAY 21ST NOVEMBER – Our next LIFT ladies get together is at the Crown, Leaves Green.  Remember to ask your friends to keep the evening free.  Cost per person approximately £25.


MESSY CHURCH – Tuesday 26th Nov at 3.30 – 6 pm. 
Come along for lots of fun and crafts, followed by a short act of worship in church, then finishing with a High Tea.  Free admission, but donations towards costs much appreciated.

SUNDAY 1ST DECEMBER - TOY & GIFT SERVICE – This year we will be accepting vouchers for Bromley Welcare, and suggest 'One4all' (available from the post office and other outlets), Sainsburys, Tesco’s but NOT W.H.Smiths.  If you like to buy new toys, we are accepting those on behalf of the Salvation Army who give to local needy families.  They like to give all of the children a new toy and perhaps a book, colouring book and crayons, or craft item and a sweet selection box or chocolate 'item'.  Thank you for your generosity.

PUB SOCIALS – Our next Pub social will be @ 7.30 pm on Tuesday 3rd December at the Greyhound (changed venue!). Please do come along for a meal, or just a couple of drinks – all are very welcome!

FLOWER DEMONSTRATION AND WORKSHOP – THURSDAY 19TH DECEMBER AT 2.30 PM, in the Church Hall, all are welcome.
