To welcome and embrace all who
come into this beautiful ancient place of peace
to be blessed, healed and equipped by God
for the challenges of everyday life.

We would like to welcome you to our service today, especially if you are a visitor. We invite you to join us at Holy Communion to receive the bread and wine, symbols of God’s love for us (except for the 10 am service on the first Sunday of every month.)  If you do not wish to receive Holy Communion, please do come up for a blessing, just keep your hands by your side as you come to the rail.  If you use a hearing aid, please put it to the “T” setting.  Please do join us for a cup of tea or coffee in the Hall after the 10 am service.

MIDWEEK COMMUNION  - During the Interregnum there will be NO Wednesday 10 am service.

BLESS THE CHILDREN (UK) – The latest Newsletter is on the big Noticeboard in the Foyer.  It is full of interesting facts and photographs.  Although the charity now has sponsors, it is in great need of money donations as well as the items listed on the appeal sheet.  Your contributions are very much appreciated.

PRAYER WALKS – Every 1ST Tuesday of the month -  Tuesday  7th August and 4th September.  Please come along with or without a dog, and we all have a good chatter, and then stop, reflect and pray at several intervals along the way, we start at 9.30 am on Commonside near the old Rectory – we often end up having a nice cup of tea/coffee!

PUB SOCIALS – Our next Pub socials will be @ 7.30 pm   Tuesday 7th August @ The Crown;  Wednesday 26th September @ the Greyhound.  Please do come along  for a meal, or a couple of drinks  – all are very welcome!

NEXT DATE FOR BOOK READING FELLOWSHIP – Please come along to Sally Churchus home on Monday 13th August @ 2 pm to  discuss books with some Christian content, either from the church library or your own.

MEN’S PUB SOCIAL – These happen every 3rd Wednesday of the month – and the next one is  15th August at the Greyhound Pub @ 7.30 pm.   All men are very welcome.  More details from Martin Becker.

HEALING & WHOLENESS (H&W) - Every 3rd Sunday,  we offer healing and wholeness prayers for all who may like the benefit of a special prayer,  just after taking Communion, in the foyer.  Dates are Sundays 19th August &  16th September.

MEDITATION GROUP – Every 3rd Monday – 20th August & 17th September.  We begin at 7.30 pm in the Church or church hall.  All are very welcome, to take time out from our busy lives.

CHURCHYARD AND CHURCH WORKING PARTY – SATURDAY 1st September - After our last successful morning, we would like as many as possible to come and help with jobs in the Churchyard, but also dusting high places in the Church!  Please come along with your tools, all will be welcome, and tea/coffee and squash will be provided!  10 am – 12 noon.  Thank you!

LEST WE FORGET - ST. GEORGE’S RAF REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL & GARDENS, BIGGIN HILL – DESIGNATED OPEN DAY – SUNDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 2018 12 – 3 PM.   The Friends of St. George’s RAF Chapel will be hosing the Designated Open Day on the above date, please visit on this very important day for the Chapel as it is Battle of Britain Sunday.  There will be tea, coffee and cake available and a smiling face to greet you.  Access to ashes in the garden as usual via Margaret Wilmot 01959 575197

NEW SERIES IN THE MAGAZINE -  We want to start a new series called 'What I do', featuring people describing their jobs, be it their career or a voluntary role, or an interesting hobby or similar. How they came to do it, what it involves and what they enjoy about it etc. Sally Churchus and Marilynn Clipston need the congregation to tell them names of people, (either themselves), or others who might be of interest and who could possibly be approached. Thank you.

HOME INSURANCE POLICY – Ecclesiastical Insurance plc are celebrating 130 years of insuring Anglican churches.  As a thank you they will donate £130 to our church each time one of our congregation takes out a home insurance policy with  them,  call 0800 783 0130 quoting TRUST 130.    Simply visit More details on notice board.

HELP NEEDED – If there is anyone who would be able to help out occasionally by hoovering and dusting the Church, we would be most grateful.  Please ask the Churchwardens or Tricia for more information.  Thank you!

DEANERY SYNOD REPRESENTATIVE – Want to make a difference?  Don’t feel your voice, or that of others like you, is heard?  Than stand for Diocesan synod!!  We at Keston Church are allowed two Diocesan Synod representatives to join the Orpington Deanery meetings, and if you are interested in joining, Pat Geiger our Representative of many years, can  explain a little more about being a representative.

As a face is reflected in water,
So the heart reflects the real person.
Proverbs 27:  19

People may be right in their own eyes,
but the Lord examines their heart.
Proverbs 20:  2

No Jesus, no peace;  know Jesus, know peace!

 The Keston Prayer
Merciful God, as we trust in your love;
Increase our faith, feed us with your word and strengthen us
for service.  Bless our community.  Make this place holy, to heal and transform all who come.
In the precious name of Jesus our Saviour, Amen.
