WELCOME  - We would like to welcome you to our service today, especially if you are a visitor. We invite you to join us at Holy Communion to receive the bread and wine, symbols of God’s love for us (except for the 10 am service on the first Sunday of every month.)  If you do not wish to receive Holy Communion, please do come up for a blessing, just keep your hands by your side as you come to the rail.  If you use a hearing aid, please put it to the “T” setting.  Please do join us for a cup of tea or coffee in the Hall after the 10 am service.

NEW PATTERN OF WORSHIP – We will begin this new pattern on Sunday 2nd June - First Sunday in the month: an ‘All Age’ Communion service at the 10.00 am service, still shorter and child friendly!  (This means we will no longer have a Sunday Communion Service at 8.00 am).  First Tuesday (4th June): prayer walk.  9.30 am - with opportunity to gather for a ‘cuppa’ afterwards in the village.  Second Wednesday of the month (12th June): mid-week Communion at 10.30 am.  Third Monday of the month (17th June):  Meditation at 7.30 pm.  Fourth Tuesday (25th June):  Home Group at the Rectory. 7.30 pm

PRAYER WALKS – Every 1ST Tuesday of the month, Tuesday  Tuesday 4th June & 2nd July.  Please come along with or without a dog, and we all have a good chatter, and then stop, reflect and pray at several intervals along the way, we start at 9.30 am on Commonside near the old Rectory.

MODERN DAY SLAVERY @ ORPINGTON DEANERY SYNOD – Thursday 6th June, 7.30 for 7.45 pm start @ St. Francis of Assisi Church, Petts Wood.  All welcome to this interesting talk and how to spot slavery in our modern World, in the car cleaning groups, and the busy nail shops.  Please liaise with Rev. Carol or Pat Geiger if you would like to join them.

CHURCHYARD WORKING PARTY -  SATURDAY 8TH JUNE – 10am - 12 noon.  Please come along to help with sprucing up the Churchyard – lots of jobs, great and small, all hands very welcome.  Some tools available, but bring your own favourites!  Refreshments on tap to help!

SUNDAY 9TH JUNE @ 10am -  We will have Ref. June Hurn Preaching, and talking about a Charity she supports called ‘Children in Distress’.

HEALING & WHOLENESS (H&W) - Every 3rd Sunday we offer healing and wholeness prayers for all who may like the benefit of a special prayer,  just after taking Communion on 16th June & 21st July.

MEDITATION GROUP – Every 3rd Monday  -  17th June 15th July.  We begin at 7.30 pm in the Church or church hall.  All are very welcome, to take time out from our busy lives 

MEN’S PUB SOCIAL – These happen every 3rd Wednesday of the month – and the next one is 19th June & 17th July at the Greyhound Pub @ 7.30 pm.

FOAL FARM NEWS – On Sunday 23rd June Foal Farm are holding a Skinny Dog Day (especially for Greyhound & Lurchers.) On Sunday 21st July, Foal Farm are holding one of their biggest fund raising events – A Country Festival, with a Dog show!  They will have a wide selection of stalls, and are asking for donations for the Tombola and raffle.  Please give Ren Harrold any items you may have.  Foal Farm very much appreciate your kindness and generosity.

COUNTRYSIDE DAY  SUNDAY 30TH JUNE – HELP NEEDED – We will be having our usual ‘Sweetie cups’ for the children, please bring jars or plastic cups  filled with sweets and goodies to church. Also if you are able to help on our Church stand, please let Carol know.Thank you!

NEXT DATE FOR BOOK READING FELLOWSHIP – Please come along to Sally Churchus home @ 103 Gravel Road on Monday 1st July  @ 2 pm to  discuss books with some Christian content, either from the church library or your own.

PUB SOCIALS – Our next Pub social will be @ 7.30 pm on Wednesday 10th July at the Greyhound. Please do come along for a meal, or just a couple of drinks  – all are very welcome!

MESSY CHURCH – Tuesday 16th July at 3.30 – 6 pm.  Come along for lots of fun and crafts, followed by a short act of worship in church, then finishing with a High Tea.  Free admission, but donations towards costs much appreciated.

SUMMER SING – SATURDAY 3RD AUGUST @ 3 PM  – The Keston Singers are putting on this event, tickets available  from Maureen Marshall, Tel. No. 01689 857260.  Tickets priced at £7.50 with tea/coffee and cakes included. All proceeds donated to charity.  

ALL SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION & PUBLICATIONS are displayed on the centre Notice Board in the foyer.

HELP PLEASE – A few generous members of our Church have been purchasing the coffee & tea for use at Church services, and socials.  If you feel you can purchase a jar of coffee or box of tea – the Church would be most grateful.   Bless you!

NEW HYMN BOOKS STILL AVAILABLE – You can purchase one of our new Hymn Books, and dedicate it to someone you love, or in memory of a loved one!  Please fill out one of the forms and give to David Cook.  Cost £15 each.

PRAY TOGETHER @ 9 AM BEFORE THE SUNDAY 10 AM SERVICE – Many Churches have a prayer time before the Sunday Service, and Carol would like to encourage anyone to come up to Church at about 9 am to pray with her.  This should only take 10 minutes.

Increase our faith, feed us with your word and strengthen us
for service.  Bless our community.  Make this place holy,
to heal and transform all who come.
